Decades Of Estate Planning Experience At Your Service

Welcome To My Law Office

My name is Mitchell Sherman, and I have practiced law in Central Florida and the Tampa Bay area since 1984. I founded the Law Offices of Mitchell A. Sherman, Esq., in 1992 to help people with estate planning, estate administration, probate and will contests. I make these legal matters accessible to you in order to secure your legacy and ensure a smooth transition of your estate when the time comes.

I am a solo practitioner who works directly with each client. When you call my office, you always speak to me, not a paralegal or legal secretary. I practiced law in a variety of settings, including large firms, as general counsel for builders and even as the head of a title company. However, I most enjoy providing the personal service and close communication that is only possible at a small firm.

Personalized Estate Planning

Estate planning is a personal matter. You, and only you, get to decide how you will pass on your estate after you die. My job is to explain how to use your will, trust and other estate planning tools to achieve your goals. I will work closely with you to design a customized plan that we can adjust as needed in the future. Your plan will also help keep you in control of health and financial decisions if you ever become incapacitated.

Your Guide Through Florida Probate

I also help executors (called personal representatives in Florida) with the job of estate administration. I can walk you through the process step by step to minimize the risk of a costly mistake or missed deadline. And if there is a question about how valid the will is, I represent executors and challenging parties. Finally, I also assist with retirement planning.
